He wasn’t deaf– when the sorting hat called out his house Credence heard all the grumblings, saw ONLY for a brief moment all the glares. Not that he blamed anyone at all. Meek, quiet and for all intents and purposes he was  N O T H I N G. A pureblood wizard that knew NOTHING about magic? Who’d ever heard of it? Probably no one but, to even the playing field Credence had never heard of magic before that owl landed on his bedroom windowsill. At first he’d ignored the thing but, it sat there and stared at him and eventually he felt bad for it so Credence opened the window and it flew it dropping off a scroll and then leaving. He’d opened it and read it before Mary Lou had a chance to steal it away otherwise he was certain he would have never known about it. After he read it though she simply handed him an evelope that was given to her when she adopted him and kicked him out of the house. It was scary but, according to the letter he only a couple of days.     ( TOO LONG for such a young kid really )     But, as if on queue a couple picked him up and explained that he would be staying with them until it was time to leave for school. Children do weird things like trust people they don’ t know. That was the first time he’d had any experience with magic at all.

Now he was alone in a school full of children that knew so much more than he did. It seemed like every time he turned around he was seeing  S O M E T H I N G  else for the first time. Stepping into the common room Credence bumped into another student.      ❝ Ex… excuse me. I’m sorry. I didn’t see you. I wasn’t… I wasn’t watching where I was going. ❞
